This excursion to the Yungas and the Forest Life Sanctuary, takes you into Bolivian nature and explores the mountains and the rain forests of “Los Yungas”. We will leave behind some of the comforts of the city to make contact with a more primitive and variable world: the rainforest is where the greatest biodiversity of flora and fauna can be found, and where those marvelous exchanges take place that creates new life and new species.

Itinerary:

Leaving you hotel or home in La Paz at 07:00, we head to “La Cumbre” at 4,700m at the beginning of the path to the upper Yungas area, we will use to the asphalted road, we will witness the impressive change in ecosystems until we reach 1,200m on a journey of 3.5 hours we will approximately reach the Silvestre shelter “Senda Verde”. The mission of this sanctuary is no other than to save and give shelter to animals rescued from illegal trafficking and human cruelty. And at the moment there are more than 800 specimens of more than 60 different species, which are located in this refuge, we will take a guided visit and finally return to La Paz. Return time is 6.00pm
