1st day: La Paz - Base camp
We will pick you up from your hotel in La Paz at 09:00 to drive to the Paso de Zongo Refuge, a 2 hour drive to the base camp. On the way we pass by the small Milluni lagoon.
Once we arrive at the base camp refuge (4,720m), we will have a short break and settle into the hut, then we will start a 40 minute walk up the glacier to practice climbing and get used to the altitude; after the climbing practice we will return to the base camp hut where we will spend the night.
Overnight at base camp hut.
2nd day: Base camp - High camp
Today, after a good breakfast, we start our ascent to "Campo Alto" at 5000m. The route is well marked and leads to a prominent moraine rim where we will find our lodge at 5000m. After a short break we will check our equipment. We will have an early lunch and try to get some rest to be refreshed when we start our ascent to the summit the next day.
Night at high camp.
