We start the trip, transporting you from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) and then on board of our all-terrain vehicles. We will visit the Eduardo Abaroa Reserve, Salar de Uyuni and the Andean lakes. We will pass through the heritage city of Potosí, and you will see the attractions in the historic city of Sucre. Then you will travel to the city of La Paz full of contrasts and the most cosmopolitan city in Bolivia. You will also pass the highest navigable lake in the world, visit the Isla del Sol, cradle of the Inca civilization and the service ends up transferring you to the city of Puno (Perú).

Day 1: Hito Cajon – Ojo de Perdiz

Early transfer from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile)

Around 09:00am (time of Bolivia), we meet our four wheel drive vehicle and guide at Hito Cajon, (border Chile / Bolivia). After the border formalities we start the tour with a beautiful panoramic view of Likankaur Volcano. Then we continue visiting the Green Lake that has emerald green waters when the wind churns up the minerals. If not, when it is calm, you will see the reflection of the mountains around. Afterwards we head the geysers area with the bubbling hot mud pools, (4.850m). Then we continue to Laguna Colorada, a beautiful lake with red water where you might see flamingos feeding along its shores. Then we continue to our hotel Tayka del Desierto.

Day 2: Ojo de Perdiz – Colchani

At 08:00am we depart on our second journey through the desert of Siloli and the Rocking formations, which is product of the wind erosions. Then we continue towards the Andean Lakes: Capina, K’hara, Hedionda, and Cañapa. Then we will stop in the view point of Ollagüe, before we continue along San Cristobal at the end of the afternoon. Before we arrive at the hotel we can spend some time looking at the sunset in the shores of the salt flats.

Day 3: Luna Salada – Salt Flats – village of Uyuni

09:30am, after breakfast we begin our journey visiting the world’s largest Salar 10.000 km2; Here we will see the "ojos del sal" were water is bubbling up through holes in the Salar. We will see where local workers gather salt into mounds and visit Isla Incahausi (also referred to as Isla Pescado) where we will find giant cacti and have great panoramic views of the surrounding salt flats. Then we continue visiting the former Hotel de Sal now a days transformed into a museum. Afterwards we will visit to the town of Colchani where you can see and buy crafts made of salt. Before we arrive in Uyuni village, we will visit the train cemetery where you can see the remains of steam locomotives dating back to the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

Day 4: Uyuni – Potosi - Sucre

Today we will have a 7 1⁄2 hours’ drive towards Sucre.
In the morning after breakfast, we start heading toward the city of Potosí. Travel approximately 4 1⁄2 hours then we switch transportation and continue to Sucre for an approximately 3 hour drive. Along the way you will have the possibility to stop for pictures.

Day 5: - Sucre – La Paz

According to the time of the local flight, you will be transfered from your hotel to the airport. 50min flight. At your arrival in La Paz you will be transfered to your hotel in downtown.

Day 6: - La Paz –Copacabana – Titicaca Lake – Puno (shared service)

At 07:30 a shared bus will come to pick you up from your hotel, 3.5 – 4 hours’ drive to Copacabana. Along the way, if the weather is good, you will see a beautiful landscape. At our arrival we will have lunch in the village and walk to the Titicaca harbor in order to take a shared boat and visit the South part of the Sun Island. There are two main attractions: The Yumani area where we will find the fountain of water, which is supposed to grand eternal youth, and the Pilcocaina area, a mysterious Inca Ruin. Then we will sail back to Copacabana. At 18:30 you will continue by bus towards Puno 3 hours’ drive. End of the service.
