Copacabana has been a permanent center of tourism and pilgrimage from early times from the beginning of the Colony. The main attraction of the place is an image of the dark Madonna, carved by a native of noble origin called Tito Yupanqui, around the year of 1582. It is not easy to describe the artistic excellences of the image; when contemplating it carefully, you can feel a strong spiritual emotion.

Itinerary:

This program starts at 7:00 a.m. from your home and ends at 10:30 p.m.

We will arrive in Copacabana at 11:30am after crossing the Tiquina Strait by ferry, and having stops for photographs, after arriving at the town we will go to the port to board the private boat, 1.5 hours of navigation, buffet lunch on the Island of the Sun in front of Lake Titicaca, then we will have a guided tour of the Pilcocaina temple, temple of the Sun, walk to the Fountain of Youth and at 3:30 p.m. we begin the return to Copacabana, we will arrive at 5:00 p.m., visit the Church At 6:00 p.m. we return in our vehicle to La Paz. At 10:00 p.m. we will arrive at your hotel or home place. (Optional transportation to Puno by bus transportation).
